Some of you might remember Hard Candy Cosmetics. They were really popular throughout the 1990s for their bold makeup and nail polish colors. This past fall, Hard Candy re-launched exclusively to Walmarts across the United States. Hard Candy make up is really high quality, despite the fact that they are inexpensive. They cost the same as drugstore makeup, but have the quality of high-end makeup brands, yet it maintains its playful and youthful feel. The packaging is really cool and has this awesome tattoo-ish print on it. I tested out four different products from Hard Candy: the KAL-EYE-DESCOPE BAKED EYESHADOW DUO, the BLUSH CRUSH BAKED BLUSH, the PLUMPING SERUM VOLUMIZING LIP GLOSS and the JUST NAILS NAIL COLOR.

I will admit that I did not have the highest expectations for the KAL-EYE-DESCOPE BAKED EYESHADOW DUO, just because usually drugstore makeup is not that pigmented. I tested out the KAL-EYE-DESCOPE BAKED EYESHADOW DUO in PICK UP LINE (photo above) and let me tell you, these two colors are so pigmented and rich, almost creamy. These shadows can be used both wet and dry. The left eyeshadow is a an ivory with a teal tint and light shimmer. The right eyeshadow is a vibrant teal with shimmer. The KAL-EYE-DESCOPE BAKED EYESHADOW DUO retails for $6.00 and comes in 14 amazing colors!

Lately, I have been loving blushes because I think blush looks so pretty in the sun. Hard Candy sent me their BLUSH CRUSH BAKED BLUSH in PIN UP. PIN UP is unlike any other color blush that I have. It is a light pink with a mauvey tint. The texture is really nice and rich. It feels like a $30.00 blush, not a $7.00 one from Walmart!  BLUSH CRUSH BAKED BLUSH comes in 3 other colors. I am dying to try HONEYMOON PEACH (a lovely peach) and BOMBSHELL (a dark brown, which would be great for contouring).  All of these blushes are marbleized which adds to their really cool look.

My favorite product that I got is the PLUMPING SERUM VOLUMIZING LIP GLOSS in GIRL NEXT DOOR, which is the perfect baby pink with slight shimmer. It is not super pigmented, but it is pretty pigmented for a lip gloss. It smells heavenly, like vanilla frosting. When it is applied, it does not burn or sting like a lot of lip plumpers do, but rather it is a slight minty tingle. It is really moisturizing and it plumps your lips a bit, definitely not too much to the point where it looks unnatural. The PLUMPING SERUM VOLUMIZING LIP GLOSS is $6.00 and comes in 6 colors. I really want to try it out in UPTOWN GIRL soon!

The final product is a nail polish, which I love because I paint my nails constantly. I tried the JUST NAILS NAIL COLOR in MR. WRONG, which is a purple with lots of finely milled gold shimmer. This polish is chip- resistant and lasts a long time, if you use an appropriate base and top coat. The nail polish bottle is adorable. It comes with a plastic ring, which is really cute. The one that comes with MR. WRONG is a purple plastic heart ring. The JUST NAILS NAIL COLOR retails for $5.00.

I love all of these of these products and am so excited that HARD CANDY is back and better than ever! I cannot wait to try one of HARD CANDY’S BALM GIRLS, which is a tinted lip balm, NOBODY’S PERFECT, which is a concealer palette in fair and SPOTLIGHTERS, an all over highlighters palette.

I love nail polish. I paint my nails a million times a week and I own ton of nail polishes, most being Essie and OPI, but I was sent some from DEBORAH LIPPMANN. DEBORAH LIPPMANN is a famous celebrity nail stylist. She has worked with the like of Mariah Carey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cher, Gwyneth Paltrow, and vern George Clooney! Therefore when I received these nail polishes in the mail, I knew I was in good hands. Since DEBORAH LIPMANN is a nail stylist, she knows exactly what a nail polish is supposed to be like, and that is obvious when using her polishes.

DEBORAH LIPPMANN polishes come in a wide array of colors but that is not even the best part. The best part is the formula. It is sooo smooth and flawless. After two coats, my nail polish looked great, not streaky or bumpy at all. 

I tried three different colors: BEWEEN THE SHEETS, SUPERMODEL and BEFORE HE CHEATS. 

BETWEEN THE SHEETS is one of DEBORAH LIPPMANN’s new summer nail polishes. It is  described as a “tantalizing fushia” and I could not agree more. It is a beautiful creme nail polish and it is just so summery, it is great! It reminds me of Essie’s Bermuda Shorts, which was from their summer collection about two years ago. Bermuda Shorts has more of a pink tone to it, while BETWEEN THE SHEETS is more of a true fushia. I definitely prefer BETWEEN THE SHEETS. Not to mention, the DEBORAH LIPPMANN polish bottles are a lot prettier than the Essie ones, in my opinion, so that adds to the whole effect. 

SUPERMODEL is like no other color I own. Usually I shy away from sheer nail polishes because personally I just think they look a little awkward. But SUPERMODEL definitely changed my opinion of sheer polishes. SUPERMODEL is somewhere between a creme and sheer polish, which makes it really unique, also the color is just gorgeous! It is a red- orange, which is great with any outfit because it is really just a pop of color. This nail polish was created with supermodel Dree Hemingway,for the DEBORAH LIPPMANN summer collection, which just made me feel so much cooler wearing it, knowing that a supermodel created it. 

BEFORE HE CHEATS is a new staple color to my nail polish collection. It is a really pretty and girly pale pink creme polish. The application was a dream. The color itself is just so perfect and classy. It is also super versatile for all seasons. I have gotten so many compliments on it. All my friends love it, so much that they even went out and bought it!
