FACE ATELIER  is a great cosmetics brand. It was the sponsor for Madonna’s Confessions Tour (how cool is that?!). When I first heard that, I thought if Madonna uses it, it has to be good! And I was right! The products are great and so wearable. No crazy colors! Which I actually appreciate because they do neutral and muted colors like no one else! Their products are really beautiful!

I got the chance to test out five of FACE ATELIER’s products. The first one is the ULTRA LOOSE POWDER in TRANSLUCENT. It is so silky! Like no other translucent powder that I have ever tried. It really smoothes out your skin beautifully. The only slight complaint I have is that you have be careful not to use a lot because it is a little hard to blend in, if you get too much on your brush, but other than that, I love the texture. The ULTRA LOOSE POWDER in TRANSLUCENT is $35, but if you are not sure about it, you can purchase a sample for only $1!

FACE ATELIER’s lip products are really great. They are smooth on the lips and last on your lips for a long time! I got to test out the LIPSTICK in PINK CASHMERE, which is a medium tone pink that is a little bright, because of that hint of brightness, you have to be careful with applying it, so that it does not look gaudy. But when the right amount is applied, it looks gorgeous! FACE ATELIER LIPSTICKS come in a range of great colors, from a COOL CORAL to a MERLOT, and cost $22 each, or you can buy a sample for $1.

Another great FACE ATELIER lip product is their LIP GLAZE. I was worried that the LIP GLAZE would be sticky, but once I applied it on my lips, it was smooth and not sticky at all! In fact it is one of the least sticky lip glosses that I own. I have the LIP GLAZE in the color, ARTIC GOLD. ARTIC GOLD is a sheer color with iridescent shimmer in it. It looks great on its own and looks even better over a lipstick, which makes it super versatile! LIP GLAZES are $24 each and samples are available for $1 as well.

This next lip product is my favorite. It is the LIP RX in NAKED. THe LIP RX is lip treatment that heald chapped lips. It is fragrance free, flavor free and color free, therefore it is the perfect lip balm to mend your chapped lips! I love applying this under any other lip products, such as a lipstick or gloss.

Now that I have ranted about FACE ATELIER’s lip products for awhile, I have to mention their shimmers, because they seriously blow my mind. I got to try out the SHIMMER in CHAMPAGNE. SHIMMERS can be used as face highlights, eyeshadows and so much more. I even like putting these over matte lipsticks to add some dimension to my lips. CHAMPAGNE is a gorgeous color. I can literally just stare at it for awhile because it has so many dimensions to it. It is a taupe color with gold, pink and blue shimmer in it. SHIMMERS are $19 and so worth it because they have so many different uses!

Summer means heat, which means that your makeup will not last nearly as long as it usually does. The way that I combat that issue is by using primers. Seriously, primers become my best friend in the summer.  I used to use Smashbox’s Photo Finish on my face but the the siliconey feel feels heavy on my skin in the summer. That is why I have switched to L’Oreal Studio Secrets Face Primer. It is about a fourth of the cost of the Smashbox primer and it feels so light on my skin. It has a whipped texture that feels simply luxurious. I cannot get enough of this product! The L’Oreal Studio Secrets Face Primer retails for $10.99. There is not much worse (makeup wise) than jumping in the pool or ocean and realizing that your mascara is now halfway down your face. Waterproof mascara makes the situation a little better but I have still had multiple situations when I had waterproof mascara on and some still dripped down my face. That is why I have been loving FACE ATELIER’s LASH RX. It is not your typical mascara, instead it acts as a primer. It is a white formula that primes your lashes so that when you apply your mascara they are longer and thicker. SCULPT MASCARA also helps conditions your lashes. After you apply FACE ATELIER’S LASH RX, I would apply a product like CRYBABY MASCARA, which is a waterproof mascara. Together these two products will ensure that your mascara stays on through the hot summer weather, the pool and the ocean!
