I am a sucker for nude lipstick. I am not quite sure why. I know it is not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’ but I think a nude lip is just great because it makes you look fresh and it also brings attention to your eye make up. For a while, I was using MAC’s Creme D’Nude. Creme D’Nude is a MAC Cremesheen, meaning that it is opaque and has an almost creamy look in your lips. Cremesheens are also really moisturizing. When I first got Creme D’Nude, I thought it was the Ultimate Nude. I was obsessed. But then ELF (www.EYESLIPSFACE.com) sent me their MINERAL LIPSTICK in NATURAL NYMPH and I feel in love all over again. NATURAL NYMPH is the ultimate nude.

It, too, is moisturizing and opaque. I have noticed that it has much greater staying power than Creme D’Nude also. NATURAL NYMPH does not have that vanilla scent that MAC lipsticks have but I actually prefer that because the vanilla scent gets annoying and makes the lipstick feel heavy. NATURAL NYMPH is unscented, which I like. And the best part is that ELF MINERAL LIPSTICKS are only $5!! MAC lipsticks are $14, that is almost triple the cost of the ELF one!

I also tried the ELF MINERAL LIPSTICK in RUNAWAY PINK, which is a light nudish pink. It reminded me of MAC’s Angel but I definitely prefer ELF’s formula. ELF MINERAL LIPSTICKS come in sixteen lovely colors. I cannot wait to get some more!

Also a side note about nude lipstick. I recommend that after you apply a nude lipstick, you use a lip brush to blend the lipstick out around the edges because there is nothing worse than a nude lip with your natural lip color peeking out around the edges, therefore breaking up the sleekness of a nude lip.

The last ELF product that I tried was the MINTY LIP GLOSS. Online these look very very sparkly but in reality they are not so, and I was quite happy about that actually. I tried the MINTY LIP GLOSS in NASHVILLE, which is a nude color. It looks great over NATURAL NYMPH! The scent is lovely since it is only slightly minty and the gloss feels so refreshing on your lips. The formula is also great because it is not sticky at all! I definitely recommend this gloss. It comes in nine colors and all of the names of the glosses are names of cities. Isn’t that so cute?? Each of them are $3. Such a great deal! Go out and buy them! They are seriously amazing!

ELF products are available at www.EYESLIPSFACE.com and are now available at select Targets.

I have never been one to invest in expensive makeup brushes, such as MAC ones or NARS and sometimes that meant sacrificing quality for price, until I found ELF brushes. I purchased the professional line of their brushes awhile ago and loved them dearly, in fact I still love them, but about a month ago I was sent the new line of ELF STUDIO BRUSHES (www.EYESLIPSFACE.com) and they are my new love.

The quality is amazing. I would never have guessed that they are only three dollars a brush! I have the full line, except for the kabuki brush and they are so so great! One of the best parts of them is how they look. They are so sleek looking and the bush hairs are black so they do not get stained if you use bright eye shadows, which is so awesome!

The POWDER BRUSH is definitely one of my favorite of the brushes. It is a flat top kabuki so it is great for buffing powder into your skin. I use it with powder to set my makeup and it gives that flawless look without making it look powdery or cakey. The brush hairs are soo smooth, therefore the brush feels so nice on your skin.

The COMPLEXION BRUSH is another awesome brush. It is good for powder, but it applies bronzer better than an allover face powder because it does not really buff the powder into your skin as much as it just blends it in.

One brush that is significantly better than its professional brush set counterpart is the ANGLED FOUNDATION BRUSH.  The professional brush set foundation brush is not angled and the hairs seem to separate after you  use it a few times. The STUDIO SET ANGLED FOUNDATION BRUSH allows for easy application and the brush hairs are sooo soft! I love this brush so much and it gives such a flawless application.

I have always been a fan of fan brushes (bad pun haha), because I think they provide a really unique application, which is really light so it is perfect for a cheek highlight. The ELF STUDIO FAN BRUSH applies the right amount of highlight and makes you look like you are glowing. I love to use this with my Monave Mineral Highlighter (review coming soon!).

The BLUSH BRUSH is also brilliant. It is pinched at the base and the top is angled on both side, so it comes to a point. It is great for applying blush to the apples of your cheeks, but it is also amazing for applying a contour since it is pointed, so you can really get your contour just right.

The STUDIO EYE BRUSHES are definitely my favorite part of the line because there are not many inexpensive good quality eye brushes on the market. The EYESHADOW “C” BRUSH is so good for your eyebrow highlight. It is larger than the standard eyeshadow brush, therefore it fits right under your brow to give a beautiful highlight.

I do not exactly agree with the names of the next  brushes, so I am going to explain exactly why. I think that all of these are great brushes, just the names are not exactly right.

I think that the CONCEALER BRUSH is the perfect brush for an allover eye shadow color. It is way too big for a concealer brush but it is the exact right size for a lid color brush. I use this every single day to pat on my lid color and it does the job brilliantly!

The CONTOUR BRUSH is the best crease brush that I have ever tried. It is so easy to use and you can easily apply a little or a lot of color. I use it for my crease and my outer corner so I soft and blended look.

The SMALL SMUDGE BRUSH is a great concealer brush, much better than the brush that is called the CONCEALER BRUSH, , because it is a lot smaller so you can cover a small area and then blend it in really finely for flawless coverage.

I think that the SMALL PRECISION BRUSH is a really unique brush. I do not have any other brush like it. I use it to apply an eyeshadow color under my crease color to add to a really blended eye look and it also adds a nice pop of color. This is a must have brush!

Now the last brush that I tried was the SMALL ANGLED BRUSH. I have tried sooo many angled eyeliner brushes. Seriously like every size and every brand and somehow this one still stands out. It is definitely one of my favorites. It is not too big so it allows for a really precise and smooth application. I definitely recommend this brush!

All of these brushes are amazing! I use them everyday and they are now my go-to brushes. At only $3 a brush, there is no way you can’t get them! ELF STUDIO BRUSHES are sold at www.EYESLIPSFACE.com

ELF actually has a special deal in which you can purchase all 11 brushes for $30, so that is $3 off the price you would pay if you ordered the brushes separately! And you get a free brush care with them!
