I’m LOVING orange + pink together this summer.

Above are some pieces that really stand out to me. I picked up the second one last week. I’m planning on wearing on my first day back to work after my vacation :)

Update on the Organix Keratin 30 Day Treatment

TOTAL SUCCESS! After air drying my hair, it is not frizzy at all. Now my waves are beachy minus the knots and frizz. Also I just straightened my hair for the first time since I washed out the treatment (Note: I’ve washed my hair once after the wash out) and it straightened instantly. One swipe of the straightener over my hair and it’s totally straight. My hair has always straightened pretty quickly. It took about two or three quick swipes over each section to straighten My whole head of hair took about 10 minutes Now it only takes 5 minutes! It’s amazing!! I recommend it to everyone!

I only kept the treatment in my hair for 24 hrs, so I would say that is long enough if you saturate it too much like I did, but if you have curly hair or put the normal amount of treatment in then 48 hrs would probably be better.

Five stars- totally recommend it. Will definitely use it again.

CURRENTLY OBSESSING OVER…

DEBORAH LIPPMANN’S WAKING UP IN VEGAS POLISH

The Lippmann site describes it as a “putty-liscious gray”. I think that describes it perfectly. It is a mid-tone gray creme polish. Like all Lippmann polishes, the formula is TO DIE FOR. Opaque, creamy, and not streaky at all. I have had it on for about for 4 day, with only tiny chips in the corners, which aren’t even noticeable to people, also I have a bad habit of picking my nail polish, so I attribute any tiny chips to me, not the formula.

You might be thinking, gray is totally not a summer color and I used to think that to but now I think quite the contrary. It’s great because it is neutral without being dark or just a light pink, which becomes so overdone in the summer. It matches anything you could wear and just exudes chicness! Five stars! I’m in love needless to say.

Also just a note, the picture above doesn’t do it justice.. Poor lightening! Oops

Organix 30 Day Keratin Treatment

Yesterday I dropped by CVS to pick up the Organix 30 Day Keratin Treatment without formaldehyde. I, then, applied the treatment last night. It’s a 4 step system.

Step One: Wash hair with the Pre-Shampoo packet provided (I have medium length hair and I only used half so I would say don’t just waste all of it because you can use it for another treatment). DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE CONDITIONER. It will prevent the treatment from penetrating your hair.

After that, get out of the shower. Towel dry and comb your hair. Wait until it is 80% dry and then apply the treatment to your hair from about an inch down from your roots to your tips. Do not apply the treatment to your scalp. I recommend you use the treatment sparingly. I used about half of the amount provided and that was WAY too much (I’ll explain later why). After you apply it, comb it through your hair. Once again, make sure you do not over saturate your hair.

After you do that you have to blow dry your hair straight and then straighten it, so that it is PIN STRAIGHT. Now this is where I ran into an issue… my hair looked like a grease ball. Not just my roots, I can deal with greasy roots, but ALL of my hair, down to the tip. It was sooo nasty. I couldn’t go outside… it was THAT bad. The reason it was that greasy was because I applied too much of the treatment.

I went to bed last night uncomfortable, needless to say because of the greasiness. I woke up in the morning and my hair was wavy in some places so I applied a bit of the treatment there, blowed dried it, and then straightened it again. I could no longer hand the greasiness by 6 PM as I could literally not do anything- couldn’t leave the house, couldn’t tuck my hair behind my ears, couldn’t put it in a ponytail or clip it (all of that creates bends and waves). So I decided to wash it out 24 hours earlier than the package tells you to (they say to keep it in for 48 hours).

I washed it out with the shampoo and conditioner provided and am currently waiting for my hair to naturally dry. I am not expecting stick straight hair. This isn’t a miracle product but I am hoping for more tamed, less frizzy waves. I have beachy wavy hair but it gets a bit frizzy and knotty, so I am hoping that the treatment helps with that.

I’ll let you guys know how it looks dry!

MNOHAYA LITA

MNOHAYA LITA!!!!!!!! BEST FRIENDS AT 4, BEST FRIENDS AT 18 AND THEN 80!

Lately, I have become obsessed with oral hygiene. I have no idea why, but I just have. I have been buying all the newest toothbrushes, toothpastes, flosses, whitening products, etc.
I have never been a fan of electric toothbrushes. I have really sensitive gums, so they usually just cause pain, therefore I still the the classic manual toothbrush. But the problem with manual toothbrushes is that they usually do not fulfill my need for a “pretty toothbrush”. Yes, this might sound ridiculous, but think back to when you were a kid and how awesome your toothbrushes were!! I remember I had ones with all sorts of Disney and Nickelodeon characters on them. Pretty toothbrushes make brushing your teeth fun! Most manual tooth brushes are white with an accent color. Nothing exciting there…
That is why I got so excited when I was sent REACH BY DESIGN COLLECTION TOOTHBRUSHES.  They are  only $3.99 each and come with awesome limited- edition patterns on them. Even cooler than the patterns themselves are that they were designed by interior designers Tom Delavan and Celerie Kemble as well as my fav celebrity stylist, BRAD GORESKI!
The toothbrushes do not only look great, but work great. Just as other Reach toothbrushes, they are gentle yet do a great job cleaning your teeth and mouth. The only drawback is that the design is just a plastic wrapping on top of the toothbrush that is possible to rip off by accident. But despite that, I am in toothbrush heaven. I have even bought a new one just in case they stop selling them soon!
PS I own the middle two, as well as the far left one and the second from the right one… just fyi!

I’m Back! I’m Back! I’m Back! I’m Back!

Sorry for the delay. I did get home August 15th but I have been packing for college for the last two weeks! It has been insane. Obviously the hardest part is parting with some of my makeup. I cannot possibly bring it all to college so I had to pick and choose. I might do a post on what i’m taking. Let me know if you guys would like that!

xo.
